Independent Study (CS 590/CS490) - every semester

Students interested in taking an independent study under my supervision, should prepare a written proposal including a statement of the problem, the approach, and plan of work (with milestones) and of deliverables. The proposal must be approved by me prior to registration. A final report and a demonstration of the project are expected at the end of the project, as well as at least one progress report documenting which of the milestones were achieved. Please keep in mind that an independent study is a 3 credit course, so do not expect to do less work than for a regular 3 credit course.

Honors Projects (CS 497) - every semester

Students interested in conducting a CS 497 under my supervision, should plan to meet with me before the semester they intend to take CS 497. The purpose of the meeting is to identify an appropriate project and prepare a plan with expected milestones.
