I have decided to close up my personal blog. I haven't really used it effectively or frequently. I am not sure how many people would care to read what I have to say anyway. It's really not for me.

I have several friends that do a much better job in this arena. I will continue to read their posts with much enthusiasm.

It's not that I don't have the time to do it. I think that I am not willing to share a lot of my life online.

Got Married!


On June 26, 2004, Wendy and I were married.

We had a wonderful ceremony in West Lafayette, IN and even better honeymoon in New York City.

You probably noticed that my posting stopped at the end of April. Hopefully now that the wedding chaos is over, I can resume blogging. Stay tuned and thanks for reading...

UPDATE: I forgot to include info on our wedding web page. I am also working on honeymoon and wedding pictures too.

Wow, It's Cold!


It's awful chilly outside this morning. Can you say -4 degrees? Not with my teeth chattering....

How cold is it, you ask. Well, it's so cold that my desktop weather app tells you the temperature and a question mark where the weather picture would go.
I think it's asking why: Why am I at the office? Why did I go outside into the cold? Why didn't I put my hat on?

Did I mention we got some snow?


Indiana was below average for snow fall for the month of January. Even after this snow, we still are.

I did happen to capture some snowy pictures from the office window.

Alexander Dole (picture)



Bryn and Susan's little guy sent me a nice Thank You card and picture. Alexander is growing and learning fast. Didn't know he could write already?! No misspellings and nice cursive writing. Better than mine.

Congratulations, Bryn and Susan!


By the way, he is the youngest kid I know that has his own web site.

Zelda and Helen (picture)



Finally, I have a picture of my cousin Helen and her daughter Zelda. This picture was taken at Zelda's first birthday party. Unfortunately, I haven't seen Zelda in a long time. Hopefully, I'll see them at Thanksgiving.

We Be Bloggin' Now!



I tried out a few different web logging (journaling) programs. Most didn't do exactly what I needed. I tried out Sparkpod. It's online only. No desktop driven software.

I wanted to create my entries offline and upload the files as needed. iBlog does what I need so far. I have a three week trial period to check it out.

I will be posting a ton of stuff to catch up on the backlog.
