ACSAC 2009: Poster and Work-in-Progress submissions due Sept 18
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
25th Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC)
December 7-11, 2009 Honolulu, Hawaii
http://www.acsac.org

There is still time to submit a poster or Work in Progress for this year's
ACSAC. Submissions are due September 18, 2009. Acceptance notifications will
be sent by October 16, 2009.

If you are developing practical solutions to problems relating to protecting
information technology environments, be it your country's information
infrastructure or a commercial enterprise, consider presenting your work at
the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference. This internationally
recognized conference provides a forum for experts in information system
security to exchange innovative ideas about solving these critical problems.

We are interested in posters and WiPs (works-in-progress) that address just
about any current security topic. Special consideration is given to
topics that discuss real life security experience, including system
implementation, deployment, and lessons learned.

The Works in Progress (WiP) session packs as many 5 minute presentations as
it can into one fast paced and popular session. These talks highlight the
most current work in both business and academia, emphasizing goals and value
added, accomplishments to date, and future plans.

The poster session will allow more time for interaction between the poster
presenter and interested conference attendees. Posters are expected to be
on work that is perhaps more complete or mature than those in the WiP
session.

If your poster or WiP submission is accepted, we expect authors to present
at the conference.  For WiPs, this will be a 5 minute presentation.  For
posters, we expect authors to stand with their poster during a special
poster session. This will require registering for and attending the
conference.

We will publish your abstract (or slides/poster, if you prefer) on the
conference web site. These abstracts are not considered to be a prior
publication of the work and may be reused for later publications if
appropriate.

Call for Posters
---------------------
Posters should be at most 2 pages in length and should briefly describe the
objectives of the current work, any accomplishments to date, and future
plans.  Posters should be sent as PDF files to poster_chair@acsac.org.
Please make sure you include author information (name, affiliation, country)
in your email.

For additional information regarding posters, please contact the Poster
Chair at poster_chair@acsac.org.
