Postdoctoral Position in Cyber Security at George Mason University

The Center for Secure Information Systems at GMU, established in 
1990 in Fairfax, VA, is seeking highly qualified candidates for a
postdoctoral position in cyber security.  We are considering
researchers in the early stage of their career with an academic focus
and a strong publication record in one of the following areas:
operating systems security, virtualization security, network security,
malicious code analysis, software vulnerability analysis, or
programming language security.

The successful candidate will have a strong theoretical foundation in
computer science with an applied systems perspective. In particular, 
we are seeking candidates with a strong software systems background 
with an emphasis on building secure systems to solve hard theoretical 
and applied problems. A record of software releases and open source 
projects is desirable. Publications in top-tier conferences is sought.

In addition to interacting with faculty, the candidate will have the
opportunity to work with a dynamic group of grad students and full-time
staff who are working on many interesting problems in the areas above
with sponsors from DARPA, ARO, AFRL, AFOSR, NSF, FAA and other 
premier sponsors of research. In addition, the Center has strong industry 
ties and active project-based collaborations with several premier
universities in cyber security research. The Center offers state of
the art offices, computing facilities and lab
department have strong ties with the industry and a record of tech

in Virginia with a strong research focus. Fairfax, VA is a suburban
community of Washington D.C with a strong public educational system, a
highly educated professional workforce, and a vibrant culture of the

meet one-on-one with program managers for research funding.
